Day 1: MARRAKECH – HIGH ATLAS – OUARZAZATE – DADES VALLEY
from your accommodation at Marrakech and start driving through the scenic High Atlas Mountains to dades gorge , our destination. This road trip is one of the most exciting ones you can have in Morocco, considering that we will be driving through the Tizin Tichka mountain pass (the highest one in all of Morocco) 2260 M alt
After exploring the city’s touristic attractions and the neighboring Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, we will have a traditional lunch then continue travelling through the “Road of the thousand Kasbahs”. After enjoying our drive and stopping for cool pics, we will get to Ouarzazate city, also called the Hollywood of Morocco. This city holds great value in filmmaking history, since it is home to the filming studios where many international movies were made, such as Gladiator and Kingdom of Heaven. We will get to enjoy scenic views of the Valley of Skoura and to Roses velley before finally arriving at the Dades Valley where we will spend the night.
Day 2: DADES VALLEY – TODGHA GORGE – MERZOUGA DESERT
This next morning, we will wake up to a beautiful panoramic view of the Dades Valley We will have breakfast in our hotel then leave towards the famous Todra gorges, which is a hiking that attracts enthusiasts from all over the world. The gorges are narrow and reach up to 300 meters in height, while also being a perfect spot for hikes and taking fascinating pictures.
After we enjoy these magnificent gorges, we will continue our journey to Merzouga, the gateway to the Moroccan Desert. to the hotel there you will have your luxury room and we will have a free afternoon if you want to walk through the dunes or if you want to be quads or buggy or free afternoon in the pool.
Day 3: ERG CHEBBI – DESERT NOMADS – RISSANI – KHAMLIA
This next morning, we will have a blast exploring Merzouga’s surroundings and learning more about the desert culture.
First we will take a small tour through the dunes in a 4×4 vehicle, leading us to the historical Khamlia village. The reason why Khamlia is so important to the area is because the village is home to the masters of Gnaoua music.
After this, we will make a quick stop at the Serji Lake where many seasonal birds live such as flamingos; then visit one of the nomad families living in the desert to learn more about their culture and lifestyle. After we are done exploring, we will head Back to Ibrahim’s house where we are going to have lunch to try our typical food (Berber pizza) And after lunch we go to the place where the camel’s came out of the camp to see the sunset in the heart of the dunes before arriving at the camp where we are going to have a welcome tea and then to see your tente we will have tasty traditional dishes for dinner. You will experience the genuine desert culture with Berber music and drums playing around you, before finally going to sleep
Day 4:MERZOUGA – ERFOUD – MIDELT – AZROU – IFRANE- FES
For the last day of this trip, we will first have breakfast in camp then leave in the direction of the Tafilalt palm groves. The road trip through the thousands of palm trees will be an enjoyable refresher from the otherwise deserted terrain. After this, we will enter the fascinating Middle Atlas area, stopping first at the city of Midelt then the beautiful Ifrane. We will also make a stop at Azrou’s Cedar forests to see the wild Barbary monkey that populate the area. Finally, we will reach the city of Fes where we will drop you off at your hotel or Riad.
