2 Days Trip From Marrakech To Zagora Desert

This 2 days desert tour begins when we pick you up from your accommodation at Marrakech and start driving through the scenic High Atlas Mountains to Zagora, our destination. This road trip is one of the most exciting ones you can have in Morocco, considering that we will be driving through the Tizin Tichka mountain pass (the highest one in all of Morocco!).

After enjoying our drive and stopping for cool pics, we will get to one of Morocco’s most important historical locations, the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. This Kasbah holds great value in filmmaking history, since it is backdrop where many historical movies were made, such as Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia and Kingdom of Heaven.

After exploring the Kasbah and having lunch, we will continue our journey to finally arrive at the town of Zagora. Once we get there, we will first check into a hotel to shower and relax for a bit.

This is where we will get to enjoy the magnificent desert scenery while riding on the back of camels through the sunset. The camel ride will take us to the hidden desert camp where we will have tasty traditional dishes for dinner. You will experience the genuine desert culture with Berber music and drums playing around you, before finally going to sleep in nomad-style tents.

This next morning, we will wake up to the most beautiful sunrise in the middle of the Desert. You can enjoy the area for a bit by walking around the dunes, before heading to breakfast. We will have breakfast in Zagora then leave towards the Draa Valley. Its magnificent landscape and greenery is unrivaled in all of Morocco.

While driving through the area, we will stop at Kasbah of Tamnougalt to appreciate the beauty of this unique location, then continue our journey to finally arrive back at Marrakech.
