15 Days tour around Morocco Grand trip from Tangier
Experience the very best bits and pieces of Moroccan culture through our private guided tours! This tour starts at the city of Tangier, leading to Casablanca, Marrakech, the Sahara desert, Fes and much more, for a maximum Moroccan experience. Just like the rest of our tours, it is customizable and can be personalized to fit your plans.
Day 1:Arrival at Tanger – Rabat
Our tour will begin when we pick you up from Tangier, and start driving to the capital Rabat. By the time we get there, we will have a small tour of the city before heading to the hotel where we will spend the night.
Day 2:Rabat – Casablanca
This next day, we will enjoy a traditional breakfast at the hotel, then head to enjoy the historical and cultural attractions of Rabat city. The Hassan tower, the Mohammed V mausoleum, the Oudaya Kasbah, etc. are all going to be on our schedule today! We will have lunch in the Old Medina, then drive to our next destination: the city of Casablanca. Once we get there, we will visit Casablanca’s most iconic monument: the Hassan II mosque. After we spend some time enjoying this city, we will head to a hotel or Riad to spend the night.
Day 3:Casablanca – El Jadida – Essaouira
Today we will leave Casablanca, and travel through the beautiful Atlantic Coast to get to the city of El Jadida. El Jadida was once occupied by the Portuguese, so the city today is left with many architectural monuments remnant of that era. After having lunch, we will continue traveling to the coastal town of Essaouira, which is a recognized UNESCO world heritage location. We will walk through this charming city, enjoying its famous seafood, before ending the day at a traditional Riad to spend the night.
Day 4: Essaouira – Marrakech
We will begin our day by having breakfast at the Riad, then enjoy a morning walk through the narrow streets of Essaouira’s Old Medina. Similarly, we can enjoy a walk through the city ramparts along the golden beach. For lunch, we will once again try out of the many seafood dishes that the city specializes in. after this, our journey continues on the next destination, which is Marrakech, the red city. On the way there, we will stop at the town of Chichaoua to enjoy a panoramic view of the area from the terrace of a café. We can also visit some of local women’s cooperatives that produce Argan oil and similar products. Finally, we will arrive at Marrakech by the end of the day.
Day 5: Marrakech – Tour of the Red city
After breakfast, prepare yourself for a long day, because today we will explore the wonders of Marrakech city through a guided tour. This of course will include some of the red city’s most important historical monuments such as Jamaa El Fna, the Bahia Palace, the Majorelle Garden and the Saadian tombs. We will enjoy our last day full together in city full of culture and history, which you can also freely explore on your own in the afternoon. You can use this time to experience a public steam bath or go shopping in the traditional souks! Finally, we will spend the night at a Riad in the Medina.
Day 6: Marrakech – Kasbah of Telouet – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate
Our destination will be from “Marrakech to “Kasbah of Telouet passing through “ Tizi n’tichka. It lies above the great Marrakesh plains, and is a gateway to the Sahara Desert, while enjoying the beauty of the mountains, at that time we are going to go “Kasbah of Telouet” which is a Kasbah along the former route of the caravans from the Sahara over the Atlas Mountains to Marrakech.
Then, we will head to Ait Ben Haddou where several films have been shot, including The message (1976), Marco Polo (1982), and Game of Thrones. Night in the hotel.
Day 7: Ouarzazate – Skoura – Kelaa M’gouna – Dades Valley
Today, another exciting road trip awaits us, this time through the “Road of the Thousand Kasbahs”. We will first enjoy the view of the huge palm groves at the Skoura Oasis, then start noticing shades of pink as we approach the Valley of Roses. On this valley is located the city of Kalaat Mgouna, which annually celebrates the harvest of roses in a fun and lively festival. After lunch at the city, we will continue driving by multiple small and pretty Berber villages before finally arriving at the Dades valley, our last destination of the day.
Day 8: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Tinjdad – Merzouga
Today, we will wake up to a panoramic view of the beautiful Dades gorges while having breakfast. Then, we will leave towards the famous Todra gorges, which is a hiking spot that attracts enthusiasts from all over the world. We will continue travelling south through the Tinjdad Oasis, enjoying the green palm groves. We will have lunch at Tinjdad, before continuing to Merzouga, the gateway to the Moroccan desert. The first thing we will do here is check in at a Kasbah hotel to shower and get some rest. You can enjoy a cup of warm mint tea while appreciating the beauty of Erg Chebbi’s sand dunes. Dinner at the Kasbah will be followed by a fun Berber music night.
Day 9: Merzouga – Khamlia – Nomad Family – Erg Chebbi Dunes
For this next day of our tour, we will have a blast exploring Merzouga’s surroundings and learning more about the desert culture. First we will take a small tour through the dunes in a 4x4 vehicle, leading us to the historical Khamlia village. The reason why Khamlia is so important to the area is because the village is home to the masters of Gnaoua music.
After this, we will make a quick stop at the Serji Lake where many seasonal birds live such as pink flamingos; then visit one of the nomad families living in the desert to learn more about their culture and lifestyle.
We will head back to Merzouga for lunch, then go back to the hotel to relax for a little bit. This is where we will get to enjoy the magnificent desert scenery while riding on the back of camels through the sunset. The camel ride will take us to the hidden desert camp where we will have tasty traditional dishes for dinner, then enjoy the rest of the night partying with local musicians; before getting to sleep in traditional nomad tents.
Day 10: Merzouga –Rissani – Erfoud – Medilt – Azrou – Fez
This morning, you will want to wake up early in order to catch the breathtaking sunrise over the desert dunes! After this, we will ride the camels back to the hotel in Merzouga to shower and have breakfast. These moments will be our last in the city of Merzouga, before leaving towards the city of Fes. The first thing we will meet on our day is the Tafilalt Oasis. The road trip through the thousands of palm trees will be an enjoyable refresher from the otherwise deserted terrain. After this, we will enter the fascinating Middle Atlas area, stopping first at the city of Midelt then the beautiful Ifrane. We will also make a stop at Azrou’s Cedar forests to see the wild Barbary monkey that populate the area. Finally, we will reach the city of Fes where we will spend the night at a Riad.
Day 11: Fez – Visit of Fez
This next morning, we will start by exploring the old part of Fes (old Medina) with the help of a local guide. Our tour will include the traditional souks, the Royal palace gates, and the Quaraouine University. The Quaraouine is actually the oldest university in the world that still operates to this day. We will have lunch at a traditional Moroccan restaurant, then continue our tour with a visit to the Nejjarine fountain and the Batha Museum. To end our day, we will stop at a café with a terrace to enjoy a panoramic view over the city, before finally returning to our Riad.
Day 12: Fez – Meknes – Volubilis – Chefchaouen
Today we will be leaving the city of Fes and heading to the nearby Meknes city, also called the Ismaili capital. Meknes holds great cultural and historical value, which we will see in its many historical locations such as the Madrasa Bou Inania, the Bab Mansour Gate and the basin of Sahrij Souani. After lunch, we will pay a visit to the neighboring town of Volubilis. Volubilis is considered a UNESCO world heritage site to the huge archeological value it has, considering all the Roman ruins left behind there.
After we are done exploring, we will leave Volubilis, and our next destination would be the blue town of Chefchaouen. On the way there, we will get to enjoy the Riff Mountains’ exquisite scenery before we finally arrive at Chefchaouen, also called Chaouen. We will spend the night here, at a lovely hotel in the heart of the city.
Day 13: Chefchaouen – Visit of the city:
This morning, we will have a nice traditional breakfast before heading to explore “the blue pearl” of Morocco. The majority of the town is painted in blue, hence the name “the Blue Pearl”. The pretty and narrow streets of Chefchaouen’s old Medina are perfect for taking pictures, and its small colorful shops are perfect for souvenir shopping. After lunch at the town’s square, you will have a free afternoon so you adventure through the town and make some special memories.
Day 14: Chefchaouen – Tetouan – Tanger
For the last full day of our tour, we will leave Chefchaouen to head back to Tangier, where it all started. But before we get to Tangier, we will first visit the lovely city of Tetouan where we can relax and sightsee the charming views. Finally, we will get to Tangier where we will spend the night.
Day 15: Tanger – Port
For the last day of this tour, we will drop you off at the airport or the harbor according to your schedule.
