10 Days tour from Tanger via Imperial Cities

This tour starts at the city of Tangier, leading to Chefchaouen, Fez, the Sahara desert and Marrakech and much more, for a maximum Moroccan experience. Just like the rest of our tours, it is customizable and can be personalized to fit your plans.
Day 1:Tangier – Chefchaouen – Fes
Our tour will begin when we pick you up from Tangier, and start driving to the beautiful Chefchaouen town. On the way there, we will get to enjoy the Riff Mountains’ exquisite scenery before we finally arrive at Chefchaouen, also called Chaouen. The majority of the town is painted in blue, hence the name “the Blue Pearl”. The pretty and narrow streets of Chefchaouen’s old Medina are perfect for taking pictures, and its small colorful shops are perfect for souvenir shopping. After lunch, we will leave Chefchaouen and head to Morocco’s spiritual capital: the city of Fes. On our way there, we have to make a stop at the town of Volubilis (a UNESCO world heritage site) and discover the old Roman ruins it still preserves.
Finally, once we arrive at Fes, we will make our way through the narrow streets of the Old Medina to get to the traditional Riad where we will spend the night.
Day 2: Fez – Visit of the City
This next morning, we will start by exploring the old part of Fes (old Medina) with the help of a local guide. Our tour will include the traditional souks, the Royal palace gates, and the Quaraouine University. The Quaraouine is actually the oldest university in the world that still operates to this day. We will have lunch at a traditional Moroccan restaurant, then continue our tour with a visit to the Nejjarine fountain and the Batha Museum. To end our day, we will stop at a café with a terrace to enjoy a panoramic view over the city, before finally returning to our Riad.
Day 3:Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga – Erg Chebbi
This next morning, we will be leaving Fes and heading to the Middle Atlas, to get to Merzouga by the end of the day. On our way there, we will visit the town of Ifrane, also called the Switzerland of Morocco, before continuing to the forests of Azrou, where we will see wild macaque monkeys. We will then reach Midelt city, considered the heart of the Middle Atlas, where we will have lunch before continuing our journey.
The journey will take us through the beautiful Ziz valley, in which we have to stop to appreciate the view and maybe get some pictures. Following this, we will drive by the desert towns of Erfoud and Rissani before finally arriving at Merzouga, the gateway to the Erg Chebbi desert. This is where we will get to enjoy the magnificent desert scenery while riding on the back of camels through the sunset. The camel ride will take us to the hidden desert camp where we will have tasty traditional dishes for dinner. You will experience the genuine desert culture with Berber music and drums playing around you, before finally going to sleep in nomad-style tents.
Day 4: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
This morning, you will want to wake up early in order to catch the breathtaking sunrise over the desert dunes! After this, we will ride the camels back to the hotel in Merzouga to shower and have breakfast. Then, we will leave towards the famous Todra gorges, which is a hiking spot that attracts enthusiasts from all over the world. After lunch, we will drive to the valley of Dades and explore the area called “the road of the thousand Kasbahs” before heading to the Riad where we will spend the night. .
Day 5:Dades Valley – Valley of the Roses – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
For this next day, we will drive through the road of the thousand Kasbahs once more, leading to Kalaat Mgouna, also known as the capital of roses, and the city of Ouarzazate. After this, we will explore the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. This Kasbah holds great value in filmmaking history, since it is backdrop where many historical movies were made, such as Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia and Kingdom of Heaven. The Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah is also a UNESCO world heritage site. To end our tour, we will drive through the beautiful High Atlas Mountains to reach Marrakech city, our last destination of this day.
Day 6: Marrakech: guided city tour
After breakfast, prepare yourself for a long day, because today we will explore the wonders of Marrakech city through a guided tour. This of course will include some of the red city’s most important historical monuments such as Jamaa El Fna, the Bahia Palace, the Majorelle Garden and the Saadian tombs. We will enjoy our last day full together in city full of culture and history, which you can also freely explore on your own in the afternoon. You can use this time to experience a public steam bath or go shopping in the traditional souks!
Day 7:Marrakech – Casablanca – Rabat
Today we will leave Marrakech, then head to yet another one of Morocco’s imperial cities, Casablanca. We will first be visiting Casablanca’s most important historical monument, the Hassan II mosque, which one of the biggest mosques in the world. After this and more time spent exploring Casa, we will continue our day by going to the city of Rabat next. After lunch at the capital, we will enjoy a small tour of its attractions such as the Hassan tower, the Mohammed V mausoleum, the Kasbah of Challah and more. Finally, we will spend our night at a traditional Riad in the old Medina.
Day 8:Rabat – Meknes – Volubilis
We will spend our last moment having breakfast in Rabat, then leave towards Meknes to enjoy the beauty of this city. Meknes city, also known as the Ismaili capital, holds great cultural and historical value, which we will see in its many historical locations such as the Madrasa Bou Inania, the Bab Mansour Gate and the basin of Sahrij Souani.
After this, we will continue to Volubilis and spend some time at this archeological town. Next, we will pay a visit to the nearby holy town of Moulay Idriss Zerhoune. In Moulay Idriss, we will climb up a hill that offers a gorgeous panoramic view of the entire town and the neighboring areas. Finally, we will return to Meknes to spend the night.
Day 9: Meknes – Ouazzan – Chefchaouen
Today is going to be the last full day of this tour, in which we will be heading back to the beautiful town of Chefchaouen. Once we get there, you will be free to roam around the town as you like, making it a magical experience that will last forever in your memory.
Day 10:chefchaouen – Tetouan – Tangier
For the last day of our tour, we will head back to Tangier, where it all started. We can drop you off at the airport or the harbor if you wish.
