10 Days tour from Casablanca to Imperial Cities

Experience the very best bits and pieces of Moroccan culture through our private guided tours! This tour starts at the city of Casablanca, leading to Chefchaouen, Fez, the Sahara desert and Marrakech for a maximum Moroccan experience. Just like the rest of our tours, it is customizable and can be personalized to fit your plans.

The first thing we will do as soon as you land in Casablanca, is pick you up from the airport. We will then take some time to visit the city’s main historical monuments such as the Hassan II mosque. You will spend the night in a local hotel in the city.

This morning, we will leave Casablanca towards the country’s capital, Rabat city, and again enjoy a small guided tour. We won’t miss visiting the famous attractions here such as the Hassan tower and the Oudaya Kasbah.

After lunch, we will leave Rabat, and our next destination would be the blue town of Chefchaouen.

One the way there, we will get to enjoy the Riff Mountains’ exquisite scenery before we finally arrive at Chefchaouen, also called Chaouen. We will spend the night here, at a lovely hotel in the heart of the city.

After waking up in the beautiful town of Chefchaouen, you won’t help but want to go on a walk through its vibrant and colorful streets. The majority of the town is painted in blue, hence the name “the Blue Pearl”.

After lunch, we will leave Chefchaouen and head to Morocco’s spiritual capital: the city of Fes. On our way there, we have to make a stop at the town of Volubilis (a UNESCO world heritage site) and discover the old Roman ruins it still preserves.

Our next destination would be Meknes city, known as the Ismaili capital. Meknes holds great cultural and historical value, which we will see in its many historical locations such as the Madrasa Bou Inania, the Bab Mansour Gate and the basin of Sahrij Souani.

Finally, once we arrive at Fes, we will make our way through the narrow streets of the Old Medina to get to the traditional Riad where we will spend the night.

This next morning, we will start by exploring the old part of Fes (old Medina) with the help of a local guide.

Our tour will include the traditional souks, the Royal palace gates, and the Quaraouine University. The Quaraouine is actually the oldest university in the world that still operates to this day. We will have lunch at a traditional Moroccan restaurant, then continue our tour with a visit to the Nejjarine fountain and the Batha Museum.

To end our day, we will stop at a café with a terrace to enjoy a panoramic view over the city, before finally returning to our Riad.

This next morning, we will be leaving Fes and heading to the Middle Atlas, to get to Merzouga by the end of the day. On our way there, we will visit the town of Ifrane, also called the Switzerland of Morocco, before continuing to the forests of Azrou, where we will see wild macaque monkeys. We will then reach Midelt city, considered the heart of the Middle Atlas, where we will have lunch before continuing our journey. The journey will take us through the beautiful Ziz valley, in which we have to stop to appreciate the view and maybe get some pictures. Following this, we will drive by the desert towns of Erfoud and Rissani before finally arriving at Merzouga, the gateway to the Erg Chebbi desert. This is where we will enjoy the magnificent desert scenery before checking in at the Riad where we will spend the night.

For this next day of our tour, we will have a blast exploring Merzouga’s surroundings and learning more about the desert culture. First we will take a small tour through the dunes in a 4x4 vehicle, leading us to the historical Khamlia village. The reason why Khamlia is so important to the area is because the village is home to the masters of Gnaoua music.

After this, we will make a quick stop at Rissani city, which weekly holds the biggest market of the area.

We will head back to Merzouga for lunch, then go back to the hotel to relax for a little bit. This is where we will get to enjoy the magnificent desert scenery while riding on the back of camels through the sunset. The camel ride will take us to the hidden desert camp where we will have tasty traditional dishes for dinner, then enjoy the rest of the night partying with local musicians; before getting to sleep in well accommodated tents.

This morning, you will want to wake up early in order to catch the breathtaking sunrise over the desert dunes! After this, we will ride the camels back to the hotel in Merzouga to shower and have breakfast.

Then, we will leave towards the famous Todra gorges, which is a hiking spot that attracts enthusiasts from all over the world. After lunch, we will drive to the valley of Dades and explore the area called “the road of the thousand Kasbahs” before heading to the Riad where we will spend the night.

For this next day, we will drive through the road of the thousand Kasbahs once more, leading to Kalaat Mgouna, also known as the capital of roses, and the city of Ouarzazate.

After this, we will explore the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, which is famous for being the backdrop of many historical movies. The Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah is also a UNESCO world heritage site. To end our tour, we will drive through the beautiful High Atlas Mountains to reach Marrakech city, our last destination before heading back to our starting point.

After breakfast, prepare yourself for a long day, because today we will explore the wonders of Marrakech city through a guided tour. This of course will include some of the red city’s most important historical monuments such as Jamaa El Fna, the Bahia Palace, the Majorelle Garden, and the Saadian tombs. We will enjoy this day together in a city full of culture and history. Next, we will go on a private day trip to the breathtaking Essaouira city. We will leave Marrakech in the afternoon and drive through the scenic Argan tree fields before we get to our destination.

Essaouira is a charming town that falls along the Atlantic coast, where many people like to go surfing. We will spend our time here exploring this city’s old Medina and its Andalusian/Portuguese buildings which add an irresistible charm. Finally, we will travel along the Atlantic coast back to Casablanca where our tour will end.
